6" Olde English Friendship Ball - Cranberry - Canadian Blown Glass

The Olde English Friendship Balls, or Witch Balls, are made in Fergus Ontario by Kitras. These blown glass balls have over 300 years of history, making them a great conversation starter as well as an eye catching piece. Back in 18th century England (although, the origin is thought to be even older), the hollow blown glass spheres were hung in windows to ward off witch spells or ill intentions. The ill intentions get mesmerized by the balls reflective beauty. It's believed that when a spell or ill intention comes in contact with the ball, it's absorbed and caught in the web-like strands.
